It's not worse at all, just getting used to it is all. It's especially easy in tribal realms, since it'll be the only one called a "tribe". Trying to figure out which barony is the capital, and thus the one you need to siege, is a bit of an extra bother, but not too serious after a couple days of play. The lack of a minimap is another one, and needing to zoom fairly far in to click on individual counties is another. Your character portrait is at the bottom, your schemes are on the bottom, your focus is on the bottom of your portrait, and your children's education is on the bottom of theirs. ![]() Stuff like the UI overwhelmingly clicking from the bottom instead of the top is a pretty good one. Not that these things can’t very easily be googled. I feel it would be a lot easier for people to take in the lines of succession of it was displayed in a traditional ‘tree graphic’ or whatever. The only ‘suggestion’ I could think of while being in awe at the actual quality paradox tutorial I was experiencing, was if they placed graphics into it/the tool tips. I hadn’t even thought of how well the audio was complimenting the experience (which of course it is) until your comment. I might understand if people completely new to the series still decry it as inaccessible, but I just can’t see anybody whose familiar denying that this is a good CK UX! I’ve spent a decent amount of money on CK2 over various sales and while I learned to enjoy the game, there was always a very noticeable frustration present that I was literally fumbling my way through the experience never truly understanding anything. Man the UI in this game just feels so spectacular. Currently, /r/CrusaderKings is operating its seventh communal game.
